Project Scope

This project was for the construction of a new Pressure Wastewater Collection system from the outskirts of the Whaanga Coast through to the Raglan WWTP, together with the connection of local residences and community and public facilities which were previously being serviced by septic tank disposal systems to the new wastewater network.

Works included: -

  • Construction and installation of 12km of PE rising main

  • Construction and installation of a Booster Pump Station

  • Individual installation of Pressure Pump Chambers into each of the 70 residential properties, 2 public toilet facilities and kindergarten along the Whaanga Coast to be serviced by the new scheme.

  • Connection of each chamber on all properties in to the main reticulation, discharging out to the Raglan Wastewater Treatment Plant.

  • Installation of all Boundary Kits

  • Pipe installations by both Horizontal drilling open trench methods

  • Installation of Air/Scour Valve Chambers

  • Reinstatement Works

  • Extensive Traffic Management

  • Public Relations (residents/landowners/Iwi, etc)
