Project Scope:
This project was a design - build contract for a two lane 28m single span reinforced concrete road bridge in Tauranga. This new two lane bridge with a shared cycleway provides for the alignment of the Pyes Pa Bypass Highway, SH36 and spans a local access road to “The Lakes” subdivision.

The project consists of the installation of 600 mm diameter bottom driven steel piles with reinforced concrete infill, in-situ construction of reinforced concrete abutments, approach settlement slabs and wing walls, and the fabrication and installation of Precast, Pre-stressed Super T beams spanning 28 metres. The structure was bound together with a composite reinforced concrete slab topping.
