WDC Emergency Storage Tanks

This was a Design / Build contract to provide additional waste water storage at 2 pump station sites in the Waikato:

• Waikato Esplanade, Ngaruawahia

• Daisy Street, Raglan

Works involved the design and installation of large diameter fibreglass underground storage tanks, connections to the existing wastewater pump stations, electrical instrumentation and commissioning.

Innovation:

The use of fibreglass tanks as opposed to the concrete tanks specified resulted in a more cost-effective design build solution. The decision for raising the existing pump station at Daisy Street resulted in offering larger storage tanks which created more wastewater storage capacity.
