Inghams Bore Water Supply and Treatment Plant Construction

Inghams Enterprises (NZ) Pty Ltd wanted a new bore water supply and Bore Water Treatment Plant (BWTP) to provide a potable water supply to the Inghams Waitoa Poultry Processing Plant. The proposed BWTP is supplementing water from the Matamata Piako District Council (MPDC) Te Aroha town water supply.

Major works included:

• Construction of an access road to the bore location and a security fence around the bore perimeter;

• Supply and Installation of a submersible multistage pump;

• Construction of bore headworks;

• Supply and installation of pipework and air valves;

• Establish the building platform at the BWTP site, including preparation of the subgrade for the control building, filter slab and equipment slabs and Contact Tank (Tank including foundation by others), including cutting to waste existing soil and reinstating with compacted hardfill;

• Trim and stabilise the existing slope behind the BWTP site, including installation of geotextile and rock protection;

• Supply and installation of a flowmeter, valves and pipework.

This project was completed in April 2018.
