The Spartan team is led by Greg Dodd, a professional engineer with a track record for the Spartan leadership role. He has managed civil engineering projects ranging from small to large, giving him the ability to balance the efficiency requirements of a small fast-moving organisation with the professional systems approach demanded by the construction industry.

Greg has spent many years in Singapore in a design and construction capacity on complex ground engineering projects.

Joe Fluhler is a qualified Civil Engineer who’s got hands-on experience from being a qualified Plumber, Gasfitter and Drainlayer. He is a self-motivated, organized and focused individual who thrives on a challenge and is able to work within stringent timeframes, prioritise tasks accordingly and delegate.  Joe adopts a practical approach to the resolution of all technical problems encountered.

Jonathan Chandler is an accomplished construction professional who has over 19 years’ experience in managing multidisciplinary projects throughout New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.

Jonathan thrives from the challenge of solving complex construction issues through creativity and teamwork.

He encourages a can-do attitude within the team and enjoys being involved with employing and mentoring new staff.  

Hendrik Wortman brings 25+ years of construction and management experience to Spartan in particular in the fields of quarrying and aggregates and mechanical plant and equipment.

Hendrik has both green fielded and developed numerous successful businesses over the years associated with the construction industry.

He also brings an environmentally friendly bias to Spartan Construction with a specialty of promoting and attaining sanctions for the use of alternative and recycled materials.

Lea is a Chartered Accountant whose professional background includes a broad range of finance and administration experience within different industries and organisations.  She is responsible for the high-level financial reporting and management accounting at Spartan, while leading the administration team in delivering support services to all facets of the business.  She loves to analyse and question to solve problems, and enjoys being able to use her skills, experience and knowledge to work collaboratively, and support others in their own professional development.
