The Hopuhopu to Huntly bulk watermain completion work included a 375m long 355OD HDPE pipeline with a directional drilled section under the Waikato River. The works comprised of the following activities:
Hopuhopu Connection - 355OD HDPE road crossing with a tee connection connecting to a 280mm PE pipeline.
Huntly WTP Connection - Steel pipework and valving inside Huntly WTP to provide a cross connection between backwash lines.
Taupiri Pipeline - Consisted of a 690m long 160mm PE pipeline with a directional drilled section under the Waikato River (280m) connecting the H2H Bulk watermain with Taupiri retic.
Taupiri Connection - 160mm PE road crossing connecting to a DN300/150 DI tee with valves on a 355mm PE pipe.
Ngaruawahia WTP Reservoir Connection - Pipework and valving connection changes to enable water supply from the Brownlee Avenue Reservoir.
